Sundowners Houseboats - Trophy Presentation

Welcome one and all, to the end of Winter Season.
Achievements to be celebrated; that is the reason.
We’ve seen baskets scored, by lots of new players.
2 pointers and 3s, and rebounding slayers.

We’ve seen some spills, and spectacular stacks.
Looking at the roof while flat on our backs.
Sportsmanship’s a standard, respect it does command.
It’s demonstrated every week, when you shake the winners hand.

I think I’ve lost 100 litres, of sweat on that court.
Maybe it’s time to get a shamois... hey now there’s a thought.
So the days about to kick off, I’ll tell you all what’s up.
We’re about to hand out the, Jim and Ruby McNeil Cup.

We’ll also thank the sponsors, like John Aronott from Sundowner.
He’s supplied trophies for the past few years, please next year make them browner.
Kerry Peterson donated the Wicked Cup; she’s from the National Bank,
I’m sure I speak for all of us, Kerry we say thanks.

Nothing would happen with out the volunteers, this is just a fact.
Thanks “Jane, DeArne, Nazri and Johnny, your help  does impact.
And then theres  Bruce and Lisa, she’s probably trying to hide.
Your efforts don’t go unnoticed; you both should be full of pride.

It’s a shame that Gary Hyde’s left us, but I wish him all the best.
Whoever's gonna coach us now, they’ll put us too the test.
Great job to all the players; we’re all improving all the time.
Now if I could learn to push with the ball, well that would be sublime.

The Wolves go home with gold today, congrats to all of you.
And lets not forget the Eagles; they get a goldy too.
I've seen the points for this year, the numbers had me floored.
I know I got at least 10 of them, but wouldn’t mind a hundred more.

I loved my time with Wicked, and  grand master Wicked Reweti.
Theres even a myth about this bloke, that he can get a little shitty.
But I think it’s more the intensity, we’ve all stepped it up a gear.
There's nothing that can’t be sorted out, with a cold and frosty beer.

A big congrats to Matty and Gemma, parents to be, that is amazing.
You can’t go wrong with a name like Scott, when you name your Rollerblazeby.
When I started with this sport you know I joined to play with Ben.
I've never been on his team with Rollerblaze, so how 'bout next year then?

Probably best to have your glass full, we’ll be doing lots of cheers.
Or at least get ready to clap a lot, and be deafened in your ears.
So it turns out I’m MC today, please have your fingers crossed.
That when I’m following the instructions, I don’t get totally lost.

I’m sure I’ll muck it up a bit, but lets all have some fun.
Lets get this show on the road right now, the presentation has begun.
