Memo - Proof of Age documents now required

MEMO

Attn: All participants in under age competitions (U10, U12, U14, U16, U18, U20 boys & girls)

BPBA, in accordance with its by-laws, is now enforcing that all players participating in an under age domestic competition or representative team, supply a proof of age document to complete the player registration process.

BPBA will keep a photocopy/scan copy of the document on file, so that this information need not be requested again for future seasons.

Acceptable proof of age documents are as follows.

  • Birth Certificate or birth extract
  • Passport
  • Driver’s license (includes learner or probationary license)

No other documents will be accepted.

Players are required to provide both a copy of the above (either scan or photocopy) and the original document to staff. Staff must sight the original, and will keep the copy for BPBA’s records.

All under-age players are required to provide proof of age documentation to BPBA prior to the commencement of the Summer Season. This includes players in the following age groups: boys and girls in U10, U12, U14, U16, U18 or U20’s.

Documents can be submitted to the office, or to customer service staff on game nights.

Please note that Ocean Grove, St Ignatius & Christian College venues do not have photocopy facilities, and you will therefore need to copy your document if intending on submitting at one of these venues.

After the completion of Round 3 of the Summer 2012/13 Season, any player who has not supplied relevant documentation will be deemed an ineligible player, and penalties may be applied to their team.

We seek your cooperation in making the collection of this information as easy as possible.

Please contact the office should you have any queries relating to the above.

That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
