Under 14 (A) Girls

Score: Bellarine 40 defeated Bulleen (5) 28

Under 14(B) Girls

Score: Bellarine 45 defeated Diamond Valley (5) 23

Top Scorers: Finlay Neal (15pts) Sherri Panayi (9pts) Emily Baker (8pts)

Game Report: The girls had a great game yet again this week.  They played a good 1st half.  This week their passing was a lot better.  The girls came out firing on all cylinders in the 2nd half and played a faultless half.  Their quick passing down the court was great, in fact a couple of times they passed the ball that quick that I lost the ball.  Our team work was awesome as was our fighting for the loose ball.  Everybody went in for rebounds and followed their shots.  Once again the girls played great defense and Diamond Valley struggled to get past our full court press. Another excellent game girls, well done.

Under 14 (A) Boys

Score: Bellarine 70 defeated Whittlesea (2) 27

Top Scorers: Sebastian Thomason (17pts) Ben Potter (13pts) Tyler Erard (13pts)

Game Report: On the road again after being spoiled at home for the past couple of games, the boys traveled to Mill Park to play against Whittlesea 2. From the jump the boys were switched on, finding avenues to score easily through Whittlesea’s zone defense.  It was a great team effort with Storms dominance evident in both defense and offensively.  Their intensity and pressure on the opposition players resulted in easy turnovers and scoring opportunities, which saw Storm run out convincing winners by 43 points. For the first time this year all the boys made baskets. Great effort.

Under 14 (B) Boys

Score: Bellarine 45 defeated Warrandyte (3) 44

Under 16 (A) Girls

Score: Bellarine 58 lost to Melbourne (2) 64

Top Scorers: Bree Matthews (16pts) Alice Teague Neeld (11pts) Melody Southern (9pts)

Game Report: A disappointing end to our 7 game winning streak but the loss will bring us back to reality. We were beaten in the first 3 quarters by the Tigers and we were looking like we would get a thrashing but the girls rallied in the 4th to score 17-8 nearly pulling off a come from behind win. At the half way mark we sit at 7 and 2 which is a fantastic achievement at this level the girls have done a great job, but now it gets hard with the top 5 from each pool coming together. The second half of the season is sure to be a challenge for us that we look forward to.

Under 16 (B) Girls

Score: Bellarine 29 lost to Darebin 35

Top Scorers: Allison Marsh (9pts) Laura Ellis (7pts) Naomi Edwards (5pts)

Game Report: With our girls still consolidating our new offense and Darebin capitalizing on some fast breaks, we got off to a slow start trailing 1-8. We stepped up in defense and with strong rebounding by Ally Marsh & Naomi Edwards went into the ½ time break, 11-17 (a lot of our score coming from foul shots). In the 2nd half we made Darebin work a lot harder and started to see some success in offense. Both teams were in foul trouble at the end and we lost another close, hard fought game 29-35. Once again, the girls all put in a solid game. We just need to “click”together as a team, so we can get a much deserved win

Under 18 Boys

Score: Bellarine 31 lost to Broadmeadows (2) 47

Under 20 Girls

Score: Bellarine 30 lost to Camberwell 53

Under 20 Boys

Score: Bellarine 38 lost to Mornington (2) 75
