Welcome to 2018
Now with the summer break completed we move into the second half of the Summer 2018 season which is as strong as ever. Across 33 divisions of Men’s, Women’s, Junior’s and Social leagues, BPBA has 237 teams playing. We are also seeing growth in Aussie Hoops and Slam Jam programs.
We are excited to announce two new staff members have recently commenced. Aaron Lothian has taken over the role of Operations Manager from Vicki King and Tim Sanderson takes over the Development and High Performance Manager role from Natalie Hughes.
Aaron has made the move from Basketball Geelong, where he headed up the sponsorship and Supercats memberships. He comes to BPBA with a business management background and over 25 years’ experience within basketball having played, coached and refereed at state and national levels.
Tim Sanderson has a wealth of basketball experience having run the regional academy program for Victoria Country in the South Central area and coaching numerous VJBL team for Geelong. Tim has a growing senior coaching CV including 3 years as an assistant to the Geelong SEABL women and a further tenure as the Head Coach of the Geelong Youth League Women’s team.
