Both the under 12 boys and the under 16 girls have been crowned the North West division 1 champions for the 2010/11 Season.
The under 12 boys defeated Werribee in what started as an arm wrestle for most of the game until Coach Clarke asked for more from his young charges in the last ten minutes which they delivered 44-30,especially guard Hamish Goodier who was the game MVP.
Congratulations to Coach Clarke who has gone back to back also taking out the Metro 2 title last season.
In the under 16s the Girls from Bellarine started slow in the first few minutes and then totally dominated the game with Eltham never really a chance.
Strong Disciplined defense was the key for Tyrene's girls scoring off turnovers from their relentless pressure,and taking the title with a 52-30 win.
Alison Marsh was instrumental under the basket and went home with the MVP.
