Heat Policy

When the court temperature reaches 30oC the venue managers must consider implementing, and where the court temperature reaches 35oC, must implement the following timing rules:

Based on a 50-minute schedule played in halves, the game time must be reduced to 2 halves of 18 minutes with each team having 2 timeouts per half.

The referee must call a compulsory timeout close to the 9-minute mark in each half and clock stops in this timeout only.

Games will be abandoned if the court temperature reaches 40oC

If a game is abandoned before it commences or before or at half time it is counted as a draw;

 If a game is abandoned after half time, the game score stands as a final result.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
