Bellarine Storm 2 (33) defeated Bacchus Marsh (32)

Best Players: Zoe Saunders, Jaimee Crombie and Mali Herzer

Top Scorers: Jaimee Crombie (14pts), Zoe Saunders (8pts) and Vanessa Marsh (5pts)

Game summary: Top of the table clash ensured an exciting battle with both teams setting up strong zone defences.  Coach Eric worked his girls hard reminding them to make their ‘pass-ins’ quick and long which succeeded in unsettling Bacchus Marsh’s defensive zone set up.  Inaccurate goal shooting from both teams led to frustration from both benches.  Bellarine continued to work hard on their offensive plays eventually coming away with a win.

Next Week: Bellarine 2 v Diamond Valley (4) at 7.50pm @ Diamond Valley

Under 14 (3) Boys

Bellarine Storm 3 (38) defeated Keilor 5 (34)

Best Players: Aidan MacKenzie, Charlie Scott and Isaac Scerri

Top Scorers: Aidan MacKenzie (12pts), Isaac Scerri (6pts), Ryson McHenry (6pts) and Riley Coghlan (6pts)

Game summary: Even without some of our key, Bellarine got off to a good start against Keilor, pulling ahead by six points in the first quarter of the game.  A strong defence prevented Keilor from rebounding and making shots under the goal.  Keilor fought back in the third quarter shooting form the three point line to come back to level scores.  Several successive goals by Aidan MacKenzie helped to edge clear in the final quarter and the boys held firm under pressure to win well.
