Minimum Age Requirements

  • Age and age categories are determined at 31 December 2013.
  • Minimum age for competition is 30 years for Men and Women.

 

Number of Participant Requirements

  • Minimum number of participants required to conduct competition: 20-30 teams across all disciplines and age categories.

Additional Information:

  • All grades are subject to a minimum of 6 teams and grades may be combined to achieve a viable competition.  Nominations are limited to a total of 140 teams. Final grading at organiser’s discretion.
  • Teams competing with two or more players with experience at NBL, WNBL, ABA or equivalent levels will be graded in ‘A’ Grade unless special dispensation is sought and received from the organising committee. The granting of such dispensation shall be solely at the discretion of the organising committee.
  • Team members will be required to assist with score bench duties.Training times may be available on request subject to court availability.
  • Referees should contact Basketball Geelong (with the details above) directly to be scheduled for the competition.
  • Placement of an individual in a team will be subject to positions being available and no guarantees can be made.
  • Rules as per FIBA and Basketball Australia rules, adapted for the event - 14AMG Basketball Rules
