Top Scorers: Emily Baker (12pts) Sherri Panayi (8pts) Finlay Neal (8pts)

Game Report: The girls played a great game.  We started off the night playing a full court press and from it we got a lot of  quick steals.  We haven’t used the full court press before but the girls did a great job for their first time doing it. Our defense was excellent as was our rebounding.  Our top rebounder for the night was Maddie Clifton with 7 rebounds, which I think was pretty good for someone who had 1 week out with a fractured wrist.  Well done Maddie.  Jordan Finlayson had a great night with those quick hands and getting quite a few steals, as did Lily Smith. Tiarne Simons played some really great defense and put up some lovely shots.  Shenae had some great blocks and also played good defense around the basket.  Sherri Panayi is our point guard and did a great job at calling the plays and made some great passes and put up some good shots. Finlay Neal also had a great night on the boards, pulling in 6 rebounds and also did some nice moves to the basket.  Emily Baker had a great night for scoring, most of her baskets came from some really strong moves to the basket and some good steals. Good job girls it was a great team effort.  Keep up the good work.

Under 16 (B) Girls

Top Scorers: Laura Ellis (13pts), Shayna Finlayson (6pts), Danielle Neal (6pts)

Game report: Very tough game in the heat and the girls had to concentrate hard to stay focused but they got it together in the second half and froze the ball in the last minute to come out victors.

MVP: Laura Ellis – kept driving to the basket even though she was getting shoved around, she showed real maturity in slowing the game down and setting the move up.
