Bellarine Storm 46 defeated Werribee (4) 37

Best Players: Fraser Swan, Ethan Keenan, Hiro Bunker, Daniel Clifton, Sam Anderson.

Top Scorers: Sam Anderson, Daniel Clifton (11pts), Fraser Swan (9).

Game summary: Great win this week. Boys led from the start and other than a lapse of concentration in the last quarter the boys looked in control. The teams passing and man to man defense were excellent, which has been the real improvements in the last few weeks.

Bellarine Storm 7 lost to Melbourne (2) 44

Best players: Laney McFadyen, Kate Wise-Plush, Tyla Gibson

Game Summary: Entering the game without two of your tallest players was always going to be a difficult challenge. The girls started very slowly allowing Melbourne to score with freedom. However, to their credit their efforts continued and they dug deeper to tighten up defence and look more of a threat offensively. We were unlucky with a few shots just rolling out. The girls fought hard through the full court press that Melbourne applied throughout the entire game, and definitely came away having learnt some new things. I do admire the girls’ determination to finish games with their heads held high. Well done.
