Game Report: This week we played Whittlesea 2, who at the start of the season beat us by 4 points. Last time we played them we didn’t have a great game, but this time the girls stepped up and played well. Our defense in the 1st half was really strong and forced Whittlesea to make a lot of mistakes. Our passing was great all night as was our team work. Our shooting in the 2nd half was good but unfortunately the shots just weren’t dropping and towards the end we got a bit flat footed, but all up the girls did really well. There was also at times some hard work off the ball, getting into the open spots. Once again great job girls and keep up the hard work at training and during the game. We have had a great season so far so let’s keep it up

Game Report: A Fantastic team effort saw the girls out to a flyer witch they were able to hold onto despite a big third quarter from Knox. Next weekend we are off to The Classic-A Big challenge that we are looking forward to
Under 16 (B) Girls
Score: Bellarine 35 defeated Whittlesea 32
Top Scorers: Allison Marsh (16pts) Laura Ellis (12pts) Danielle Neal (7pts)
Game Report: Our girls played with a lot of aggression towards the ball. We started strong & kept the pressure up throughout the game. With Laura & Danielle capitalizing on some fast breaks early we went into ½ time leading 17-13. Strong defense in the second half forced Whittlesea to put up a lot of outside shots & with our whole team rebounding & accurate shooting by Ally we managed to get a strong lead. The girls all playing a part. Kassey’s block was a highlight, as was Alanah’s defensive pressure & control. To Whittlesea’s credit they did not give up & with three 3 pointers in the last few minutes managed to get within 3 points at the end. We won 35-32 (a massive turn around from the last time we played & were defeated 45-26).
