Aussie Hoops is an introductory, nationally run, locally delivered program for the beginner basketballer aged 5-10 years. The next step after that is playing in the Sturt Domestic League, a low cost, local, entry level alternative to competitive District basketball. You can start with the Domestic League at any stage of the season and there is more flexibility in terms of standard and commitment than District basketball.

AussieHoops runs all year round during school term time. Current session times are: Thursday 4:30 pm to 5:15 pm (Mixed) Friday 4:00 pm to 4:45 pm (Mixed) Saturday 11:00 am to 11:45 am (Mixed)

The cost is $90 per term, which includes an AussieHoops starter pack, containing an AussieHoops reversible green and gold training top, and a basketball. For returning players who don’t need the pack, the cost is $60 per term.

Players who are beginning in basketball or who are less experienced are welcome. Sturt supplies the coaches, usually the younger members of our Premier League or Senior, Youth League or older junior District players. The coaches are high quality and ensure the players are learning in a fun, enjoyable, safe atmosphere.
