FIXTURE UPDATE Under 16 & 18
The fixtures for the weekend have been amended due to a number of teams withdrawing from the event and the implementation of the Heat Policy. Some teams have been re-graded, so that there are roughly equal numbers in each Competition.
In Competitions where there are only 5 teams, a Semi-Final round has been added to the fixtures. The Semi-finals consist of First v Fourth and Second v Third. The Winners progress to the Grand FInal.
In Competitions where there are 6 or 7 teams, there is only a Grand Final between First and Second on the Standings.
Basketball WA are mindful of the forecast for extreme heat over the next few days. The Bureau of Metereology forecast at noon on Tuesday is as follows:
Thursday Possible afternoon thunderstorm. Min 24 Max 42
Friday Partly cloudy. Min 25 Max 41
Saturday Mostly sunny. Min 23 Max 39

In addition, there will be compulsory drinks time-outs after 10 minutes of game time in each half. Information regarding Heat management is available with the score sheets and on Notice boards around the stadium.
Car Parking at Perry Lakes has been disrupted due to site works. Meagher Drive is closed at the northern end, and there is no access to the stadium from Alderbury St. Additional parking has been made available in the Athletics Stadium. Access to this parking is off Underwood Ave. As you approach Perry Lakes Stadium, veer to the right, pass through a gate, and drive towards the Athletics Grandstand. Parking attendants will assist.
Entry to the Championships is $6 per person per day, and there is a Family Ticket for immediate family members of $18.
