2017-18 Corio Bay Stingrays: Expression of Interest to Coach

The Corio Bay Stingrays Junior Representative Program is currently calling for all interested coaches to submit an Expression of Interest form. Head Coach/Assistant Coach positions of all age groups of Boys and Girls (U12-20) for the 2017/18 Grading/Championship Victorian Junior Basketball League Season are available.

Applicants must hold, or be willing to obtain, a Club Coaching Course (Replacing NCAS Level 1).

All current and new Coaches who apply to be a part of the Corio Bay Stingrays Representative Program will be expected to abide by the following:

Have required coaching accrediation outlined above Uphold the rules and expectations of the CBBA

Adhere to the Basketball Victoria Coaches Code of Conduct.

Understand the VJBL season: ie Friday night games, 1 Sunday and possibly 1 mid-week training and required tournaments throughout the year

Available to assist at the Corio Bay Stingrays representative trials

All Coaches must be highly organised (planned training sessions etc), be willing to work as a team and possess and teach basketball fundamentals

The Director of Coaching and Corio Bay Stingrays Representative Committee will determine the suitability of applicants, in relation to their responsibility for the overall planning and presentation of the program for players and coaches. Coaches will be required to attend Clinics and Trainings as requested by the DOC. This can include externally hosted events.

It is a requirement that all coaches over the age of 18 possess a valid Working With Children Check and a signed Member Protection form.
