Rising Stars 2018

Basketball Northern Territory’s Rising Star’s program is an All Abilities basketball competition, played on Fridays in Term 2 and Term 3 of the school year. Games are played at the Darwin Basketball Stadium through an 8-week round robin competition, culminating in a celebration day and Grand final match. Basketball NT Chairperson, Anne Coleman says “I’m pleased to see Rising Stars back for 2018. It is a fantastic opportunity for All Abilities Territorians to participate.”

Rising Stars Patron, Brittany Ward says; "I'm honoured to be a part of this program and play a small role in all of our athletes' development; because we truly believe anyone can be a Rising Star! Basketball is meant to be enjoyed by everyone off all abilities. Rising Stars provides sporting access to our All Abilities sector by creating a fun and safe environment which celebrates sportsmanship, and numerous other achievements along the way”

Team nomination can be completed online, and team members are added at school level prior to the competition. Team uniforms are supplied.

Key Dates for 2018:

Term 2 competition begins: May 4

Term 2 Grand final: June 22

Term 3 competition begins: August 3

Term 3 Grand final: Sept 21

Entry fee is $600 per team, per term

This Team Nomination will generate a team code to allow the registration of individual players to the team.

Details on registration and payment information include;

• Payment of $600 is required per team during the registration process.
• Credit Card: If you wish to pay via credit card click the confirm button which is the preferred option.
• Invoice: Please click the confirm button and select the "pay later option" on the next screen. Basketball NT will provide you with an invoice on completion of registration process if required.
