Association Update
It is fair to say that 2020 has been a very interesting year to date, but the good news is that everything is starting to return to normal and in the coming months we should all be able to get back out to Harrison Park and enjoy our great game.
Below you will see an update on the latest news for Parkes & District Amateur Soccer Association.
JUNIOR COMPETITION UPDATE
Great news that NSW Government and Football NSW are allowing juniors (18 and under) to commence playing from 1 July. However, this raises many questions before we can run a competition. The committee will be meeting to discuss this further and will provide more information regarding registration, costs and start/end dates for competition in the coming days via our Facebook Page and Website
TRAINING UPDATE
Training at Harrison Park has commenced; however, teams are required to contact President, Wayne Osborne for dates and time for training. COVID-19 guidelines need to be adhered to, so lights are only turned on Tuesdays and Thursdays at this stage. Managers/coaches are reminded to record who is at training each session and a max of 10 can attend. Further details about returning to training can be found HERE.
SENIOR COMPETITION UPDATE
At this stage, training is ok but no start date for a competition to commence for senior age groups (over 18s) has been announced by NSW Government
VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED
We currently have a few positions vacant on our committee and require some volunteers to join us to take on these roles. The vacant roles are as follows:
- Junior Competition Secretary which involves organising the junior draw and updating results via our online program
- Registrar who oversees all online registrations
We are also on the look out for Team Coaches/Managers for the 2020 season for all junior age groups.
