Parkes Sports Grass Fields Closed
The Parkes Sports Council's grounds committee has inspected the grounds and noted that they are still very water logged follow the additional rain today. Therefore all users are advised that ALL grass sporting fields in Parkes are closed for training or other purposes until 5pm Friday afternoon.
The sports Council does not issue ground closure notices after 5pm on Friday. Sporting Groups and schools are to use their own policies and procedures to determine whether or not to play organised sport on rain affected fields over the weekend.

The Sports Council apologies for any inconvenience and trusts that groups will respect this decision. This is to allow the fields to dry out and prevent any further damage to the surface prior to weekend sport.
