Wayne Leads Parkes Soccer in 2020
With the 2019 season all wrapped up planning for the 2020 season has begun with the Annual General Meeting held on Monday 21 October at the Parkes Bowling and Sports Club.
During the meeting, all positions were declared vacant with the nomination process being opened for all committee member positions. The following members have been elected to the committee:
PRESIDENT: Wayne Osborne
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT: Angela Bottaro-Porter
JUNIOR VICE PRESIDENT: Stewart Lamond
SECRETARY: Dan Fredericks
TREASURER: Lydia Lovell
JUNIOR COMPETITION SECRETARY: Vacant
OPEN LADIES COMPETITION SECRETARY: Kath Went
REGISTRAR: Kelly Caruana
WEBSITE & SOCIAL MEDIA ADMINISTRATOR: Cameron Stone
New to the committee for the 2020 season is Lydia Lovell who will take on the role of Treasurer from Angela Bottaro-Porter who has been elected to the position of Senior Vice President.
Re-elected President, Wayne Osborne, thanked all members of the outgoing committee for putting the association in a strong position to go forward and welcomed Lydia to the Executive committee.
“Myself and the committee are committed to developing our juniors and continuing to grow the standard of the sport in Parkes” Osborne said. “We will also continue to support our strong and enjoyable Open Ladies competition into the 2020 season and beyond” he added.
The association is still on the lookout for a Junior Competition Secretary, anyone who may be interested in this position is asked to email an expression of interest to pdasacommittee@outlook.com.au.
