Welcome to another wonderful season of soccer in Parkes. With Open Ladies playing 3 rounds so far and our juniors getting ready to kick off the season is starting to get into full swing. The 2016 season sees 38 junior teams from under 6s through to under 16 boy and girls getting ready to start with 14 Open Ladies teams already playing in the Parkes and District Amateur Soccer Association competitions.

In saying this there is still the opportunity to register with our junior teams this Saturday from 10:00 am to 11:00am as we hold our very final registration day for 2016. No registrations will be taken after this point. All players registered on Saturday will be placed in teams that have available positions or made into another team if numbers permit.

We are also still looking for coaches for our junior teams in order for the players to get the full benefits from this great game. Coaches that have signed on so far are as follows:

Under 6s

KCM FDC – Toni Speakman

Services – Renae Smith/Angie Moon.

We still require 6 coaches for this division before commencement of the season on 7^th May 2016.

Under 8s

PDASA SSF – Tom Rix

Parkes Family Daycare – Kristy and Stewart Lamond

NRMA – Brad Kelly/Mitch Roberts

We still require 4 coaches for this division before the commencement of the season on 7^th May 2016.

Under 10s

Parkes Services Club – Scott Cusack/Peter Batt

Team 4 – Brett Pinkstone

Team 6 – Natasha Butt

We still require 4 coaches for this division before the commencement of the season on 30^th April 2016.

Under 12s, Under 16 boys and Under 16 girls require 3 coaches each as we do not have any coaches for any of these divisions at this point in time for the commencement of their season on 30^th April 2016.

Under 6 and under 8 coaches are also asked to attend a coaching and equipment hand out to be completed at Harrison Park on 30^th April 2016. The under 6 and 8 teams will be given specifically design coaching and training drill for this season plus games played on every Saturday to help develop the skills of the future players in Parkes. We will have Kevin Medlyn organising the training programs for the kids this season and working closely with the coaches in this new program for soccer in Parkes.

There is also still the opportunity for local businesses to sponsor a team in the Parkes competition with teams in multiple age divisions still requiring sponsors. With sponsorship of a team it includes a full team of shirts with the logo of the sponsor and the team named after the sponsor for 3 years with the option to continue as sponsor at the end of the 3 years.
