Position still vacant after Annual General Meeting
On Monday 15 October 2012 nine representatives from the Football (soccer) community in Parkes attend the Annual General Meeting of the Parkes & District Amateur Soccer Association Inc. which was a dissappointing outcome in the eyes of some of the 2012 Executive members who were looking to see more involvement from some fresh faces to help move soccer forward in the town of Parkes in 2013 and beyond.
During the lead up to the Annual General Meeting Treasurer Dawn Parker indicated that she would not be seeking re-relection on the 2013 Executive after being involved on the executive committee for well over 35 years.
During the course of the meeting the President, Secretary, Treasurer, Competition Secretary and Registrar all presented their reports to all members present and thanked Dawn for her services to soccer in Parkes during her time involved in the sport before all positions for the 2013 Executive committee were declared vacant with current Lachlan Amateur Soccer Association President Wayne Pearce taking the chairperson postition during the election of office bearers.
The following people were elected to their respective positions for the 2013 season:
PRESIDENT: Cameron Stone
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT: Aaron Gaffey
JUNIOR VICE PRESIDENT: Kevin Medlyn
SECRETARY: David Parker
TREASURER: Maryanne King
COMPETITION SECRETARY: Victor Gaidzionis
REGISTRAR: Vacant
COACHING COORDINATOR: Cameron Stone
Returning President Cameron Stone said it was dissappointing that all positions on the committee could not be filled at the Annual General meeting but hoped that someone would come forward and put their hand up for the Registrars position before the next Association meeting which will be held in Feburary 2013 and asked for more people from the soccer community in Parkes to come forward and help make the sport grow in the town of Parkes over the next 12 months.
Should anyone be interested in taking on the position of Registrar they are asked to get in contact with one of the Executive members to have their name put forward for the position.
