As we work towards a standardized umpire presence for all AFL Canada matches, we have made available standard forms for you to download and use in your leagues' games and matches. Click the links below:

AFL Canada can provide you with access to the Introductory Umpire course, free of charge! A savings of approximately $10!
About the AFL Introductory Umpire Course...
This course has been designed for new umpires as they commence their umpiring journey. The course can also be beneficial for all fans of the game that are keen to build their knowledge and understanding.
The course can be accessed at https://umpireafl.trainingvc.com.au. When you register with AFL Canada, you will get emailed a link and provided with free access.

The UmpireAFL Introductory Course has been designed for NEW UMPIRES as they commence their umpiring journey. It is a prerequisite for those interested in achieving the Development Umpire certification. The course can also be beneficial for all fans of the game that are keen to build their knowledge and understanding. It takes less than an hour to complete and successful completion will give you a certificate that can be printed, as well as information about future training opportunities online.

AFL Canada is working to build our capacity to deliver the sport by supporting the recruitment and support of volunteer umpires across Canada.
We have appointed Derek Govier as Canada's Head Umpire to work with clubs and provinces in implementing long-term umpire development.
