As an incorporated not for profit, AFL Canada governs itself in accordance with its by-laws.
At the 2016 Annual General Meeting, the members voted to streamline the by-laws to bring them in line with those of other National Sports Organizations and recent changes to the Not-for-Profit Corporations Act (Canada) as well as to more accurately reflect how AFL Canada is conducting its business.
