AFL Canada is pleased to announce that we have been successful in our application to the Canada Summer Jobs granting program. Through this program, we will be able to hire two (2) positions to support promotion, marketing and communications of our sport.
The Canada Summer Jobs program is a Canadian government grant that offers support for employers providing supervised career-related work experience for youth employees. The program focusses on providing career-related work experience placements that will further develop a youth's (ages 15-30) skills and knowledge, and assisting in the transition towards permanent employment.
AFL Canada's focus on these hires is to increase the awareness of the sport of Australian football nationally, as well as specifically targeting Ontario and BC this year, through improved online communications (social media platforms, website development) as well as through local and national promotional activities. The positions will also be responsible for filming regular games and training sessions on the home fields, supporting athlete development and technical analysis by national coaches.
All activities for these positions must take place within the approved constituencies of Etobicoke-Lakeshore (Ward 3) and Burnaby South, respectively.
If you are interested in applying for these positions, please review the job descriptions thoroughly and send your resume and cover letter as soon as possible to pbartel@aflcanada.com. We hope to hire as soon as possible to enable a May 1, 2019 start date.
