At the conclusion of the 2009 season the OAFL exec and the OAFL clubs met at the league AGM to discuss various matters, including the finals system for the following year. At the conclusion of the meeting, it was decided that the league would adopt the Second McIntyre System for the 2010 season. It was decided that it was the fairest, and best system for the situation that currently exists in the OAFL (ie, the number of teams currently in the OAFL).
