Breaking down the performance of key skills and evaluating ways in which to improve on them is an essential part of perfecting yourself as an athlete.  Once you have the most energy-effective and stream-lined technique it's a matter of automating the skill through repeat practice.

If you're a coach who's keen to upskill and expand your netball know-how here's your chance to make the most of your off-season for your own personal development.  Why not attend some of our coaching courses aimed at teaching you the best techniques, sharing ideas and supplying you with the right knowledge to be the best coach you can be?  Course content has been compiled by experts from Netball New Zealand and even offer the chance to gain recognised accreditation for your efforts.

The next course on offer is Skill Analysis which allows coaches the chance to break down the biomechanics of common netball movements.  Coaches will analyse the execution of skills utilising the powers of observation and video analysis where available.  We often spot small ways in which a player's form is impeded.  It is equally as vital to therefore identify ways in which we can modify technique such as posture, timing, centre of gravity, angle of release, leverage and trajectory to maximise the player's success rate.  Through movement analysis coaches will learn more about necessary tweaks that can correct performance and identifying these early on in life before they become a hard habit to break.

While this workshop is geared towards the netball code and is Netball New Zealand accredited, general concepts may be easily applied to all sports.  We therefore welcome attendees from other sporting codes.  We'd like to help you prepare as best you can to allow both you and your team to have a highly enjoyable learning experience this season.
