2013 Wellington LFC Coach & Manager applications close Fri 21st June
Netball Wellington Centre seeks Coaches & Manager for 2013 Wellington Lion Foundation Competition Team
Netball Wellington Centre shall soon be compiling a region-wide team to compete in the national Lion Foundation Competition (previously known as the NPC).
We seek applicants for the following positions within the Wellington team:
Head Coach
Assistant Coach
Team Manager
These positions are in a volunteer capacity and provide a fantastic opportunity to further develop yourself. Travel and accommodation will be covered to attend most away fixtures and tournaments.
A job description for the primary care/physio role will not be released at this stage but expressions of interest are welcome.
The LFC campaign runs for around 10 weeks in total. Please find an indication of key commitments for the upcoming 2013 LFC Season are detailed below (some dates are still to be confirmed)
- LFC Trials - Tuesday 30th July, Sunday 4th & Tuesday 6th August 2013 held at the ASB Sports Centre, Kilbirnie, Wellington
- LFC Camp 1 - Sunday 11th August 2013 venue TBC
- Warm up match – date TBC with other LFC teams prior to Lion Foundation National Champs.
- Lion Foundation National Champs - Sunday 30th September to Saturday 5th October 2013 held in Dunedin
LFC trainings tentatively scheduled for Wednesdays & Sundays – some flexibility for change possible subject to venue availability.
Other possible team fundraising dates:
- Hypnotist fundraiser at Gasworks Hotel – date TBC
- Quiz night at Gasworks Hotel – date TBC

Interested applicants should please:
- Complete a Team Management Application in full and return as soon as possible.
- Attend an interview for this position if required.
- Attend regular meetings prior to and after team trials.
- Attend all trials and pre-trials selections to confirm player selection (if appointed Selector).
- Respond to requests from Netball Wellington Centre in a timely manner.
Applicants must also attend a debrief interview/meeting at the end of the representative season.
