Join Waimarama Taumaunu & Sandra Edge in our U15/U17 rep coaching team

Positions within the Representative Team Management are a pathway opportunity for all coaches and managers wishing to further their coaching careers and for those wishing to give back to the netball community at centre level.

Netball Wellington Centre are proud to announce that our 2011 Under 17 Representative Team shall be coached under the leadership of Head Coach Waimarama Taumaunu while our 2011 Under 15 Representative Team shall be coached under the leadership of Head Coach Sandra Edge.  These highly respected ex Silver Fern players bring a lot of coaching and playing wisdom and knowledge to their roles and we are excited to benefit from their expertise. 

Netball Wellington Centre are seeking keen coaches and managers who wish to take up the exciting opportunity to work alongside Waimarama Taumaunu and Sandra Edge in roles as  Assistant Coach for the U17 & U15 Development Teams and also Managers.  These positions are in a volunteer capacity however and provide a fantastic opportunity to learn from the best and further yourself as a coach.  Travel and accommodation will be covered for each team management official to attend most away fixtures and tournaments.

  • Sunday 12 June 2011 - Steffensen Tournament held in Palmerston North
  • Sunday 26 June 2011 - Molly Dorne Tournament held in Levin - TBC
  • Sunday 17 to Monday 19 July 2011 - National U15 Age-Group Championships held in New Plymouth - Both teams to attend

U15 Trainings held Wednesdays at 6.00pm and Sundays at 10.00am

Under 17 Representative Team/s

Interested applicants should please:

  • Complete a Team Management Application in full and return as soon as possible.

  • Attend an interview for this position if required

  •  Attend regular meetings prior to and after representative team trials

  • Attend all trials and pre-trials selections to confirm player selection (if appointed selector)

  • Respond to requests from Netball Wellington Centre in a timely manner

  • Attend a debrief interview/meeting at the end of the representative seasonBe open to attending further coaching development opportunities including approved workshops/seminars/courses during the 2011 season
