Gladiators News from Jackie Lauff
The Gladiators have a blend of new blood and Paralympic veterans yet were unable to win a game during the first league round in Perth. They definitely picked up the pace in Dandenong to come within 8 points of the Victorian Dandenong Rangers during the Friday night game.
Sydney University will host the third round of the WNWBL on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June. The game to watch is the 3pm clash of Sydney rivals Goudkamp Gladiators v Hills Hornetts. The Hornets are currently sitting at the top of the table after round two, on equal points with the Perth Western Stars but ahead in their for and against percentage. The speed of Gladiator’s Kylie Gauci and Louise Sauvage will be put to the test against the Hornet’s trio of Glider’s players’ Liesl Tesch, Sarah Stewart and Katie Hill. Be there to see the action at Sydney University Sports & Aquatic Centre, Cnr. Codrington St & Darlington Rd, Sydney
