Rangers setting up another Championship

The Victorian Dandenong Rangers have set themselves up for a second championship after securing a spot in the Grand Final with an easy win over Stacks Goudkamp Bears last night. After a close point for point start in the first quarter the Rangers seemed to run away with the game for a final score of 77-54.

After a strong season, most of which was spent at the top of the ladder, the Bears seemed unable to put any pressure on the scoreboard with so many missed baskets. Regular stand-outs Gauci and O’Kelly Kennedy struggled to connect with 8/23 and 4/15 respectively, however Gauci still top-scored for Bears with 19 followed closely by import Amimoto with 18.

On the Rangers side it was International Player of the Year, Cobi Crispin, who once again made a huge contribution with 28 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists. Despite having only six players on the roster due to injury, Crispin along with fellow Australian squad members Chaplin and Del Toso powered through the game and never let the Bears get close to their chance to play a championship at home.
