Aussies defeated by USA in U25 Wheelchair Worlds
The game started out extremely fast-paced with both teams playing a physical game. The Americans took the lead early on with the help of a number of great shots and points by Rebecca Murray. The quarter ended with a score of 18-12 with the USA leading.
The points for both teams continued to progress throughout the second quarter of the game with Australia logging 11 points and USA 17.
Players Miller, Hollerman and Murray took control of the court for Team USA throughout the game scoring a combined 54 points, 20 Rebounds and 14 Assists. Murray earned herself a double-double this match (10 assists and 21 points).
Similarly, two of Australia’s Senior National Team, the Gliders, Cobi Crispin and Amber Merritt showcased impressive skill and experience scoring 21 and 20 points respectively during this game.
Australia will next play Mexico tomorrow.
