Under 25 Win First game against Great Britain

The game was won in the second term, where the Aussies established a big lead, winning the quarter by 12-4. Coming out of the quarter-time break ahead by four, the Aussies went into the half-time change up by 12 thanks to a balanced effort, led by Amber Merritt and Cobi Crispin.

Great Britain were better in the third term, which was a high-scoring affair. The British side shaved two-points off the Aussie's lead, but Australia was still able to keep their own score ticking over — a 22-20 term saw the Aussies go into the final term in front by 10 points.

The final could've be described as opposing the third term, with points drying up at both ends of the floor. Looking to prevent a run from the Great Britain side, the Aussies kept things tight and eventually took the big 12 point win.

For the Aussies, Cobi Crispin top-scored with 21 points, while Amber Merrett was also impressive, finishing with 16 points.

For Great Britain, Amy Conroy and Helen Freeman both finished with 16 points each.

Australia will next play the USA tomorrow.
