Round 1 Starts Today

In this, the twelfth WNWBL season, Wheelchair Sports Australia in partnership with Basketball Australia bring you the 2011 WNWBL.

This year five teams battle it out for the championship. 2010 Champions, Sydney University Flames, are joined by The Be Active Western Stars, Victoria Dandenong Rangers, Stacks Goudkamp Bears and the Queensland Comets who re-enter the competition after a two year absence.

In 2011 round one will be held in Melbourne, round two in Perth, round three in Brisbane, round four in Sydney and the finals series will be held in Crows Nest, NSW. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our Wheelchair Sports Associations for their ongoing support of the WNWBL.

Thank you also to the players, coaches, officials, and volunteers who continue to commit to this league and a big welcome to those players and team staff joining us for the first time this season. Finally, best wishes to all players, teams and staff.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
