NSW staged an almighty comeback in the final quarter, outscoring WA 24-7, but could not make up the margin that they had let WA tally in the opening three terms.

NSW’s Luke Pople scored a game high 29 points while Nicholas Radovich led the victors with a 28 points, 16 rebound double-double.

WA edged out NSW in nearly all statistical categories; WA shot 10 percent better from the field, won the rebound count 43-37, assists 17-11, and were able to penetrate the paint more easily.

WA set up the win in the first half as they broke away to an 18-8 lead at the first break, and stretched that to 19 points at halftime, 37-18.

NSW go within three points with 1:27 remaining but missed their next four shot attempts, allowing WA to claim the title.
