MILLICENT BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION SENIOR CLUB PERSON AWARD

Ang Turner has been awarded the prestigious Lofty Clark Memorial service to Millicent Basketball award

This award is presented in honor and in memory of Lofty Clark an outstanding member who gave so much and who contributed tirelessly and unselfishly for the benefit of Basketball in the Millicent District.

Angela was recently awarded the prestigious Lofty Clark club person memorial award for Millicent Basketball Association for his commitment and devotion to the local association. The award has been presented in recognition of Angela’s dedication as a volunteer and through her involvement as a local referee and coach, both in local junior competition and town team level and her work as a volunteer at our junior tournament in various roles from refereeing to canteen work and cleaning.

Angela is a very worthy recipient as her service to Millicent Basketball has been very noticeably throughout this last year and years previous. Angela has been a referee on a regular basis in both junior and senior grades and helps out at short notice if a referee is needed. This previous 12 months has seen Ang take on a town team coaching role with the under 16 girls and the team has had remarkable success under her tutorage being runner–up in the recent SA Country Championship. Her dedication and enthusiasm to this role has been great which has seen her attending weekly regular trainings and numerous weekend tournaments. She has been involved with coaching of junior basketball in Millicent as well. The commitment of time and work is outstanding by a loyal servant putting in many hours to help Millicent Basketball of which the local association is very grateful to her efforts.
