Magic Town Team Break Up

To bring the 2011/2012 Magic Season to a close, the annual 'Town Team Break Up' was held in the upstairs area of the stadium.

The evening was an opportuity for players, coaches, managers, referees and families to get together and celebrate the 2011/2012 season.

Over the evening each player was awarded a certificate and team photo to commemorate their season and coaches, team managers and referees were presented with gifts from the Millicent Basketball Association and their teams.

The coaches for the 2011/2012 season were Fiona Telfer (under 12 boys), Michael Schultz (under 12 boys), Sarah Puiatti (under 12 girls), Clint Gallio (under 14 and 16 boys), Jenny Herbert (under 14 and 16 boys), Tony Stratford (under 14 girls), Peter Seebohm (under 14 and 16 girls), Darren Fuller (under 16 girls), Melinda Todd (under 18 women), Lori Cozzi (under 18 men) and David Todd (under 18 men).  The referees who assisted the teams by travelling to tournaments throughout the season were Tony Sorrell, Cody Milnes, Shannon Murphy, Daniel Tredrea, Meg Fennell, Henry Wallis and Andrew Patten.

The evening was also an opportunity to farewell the 2012 graduates. Many of the players have played 'Town Team Basketball' since under 12s and this season was their last year of being eligible to play in the junior grades. All graduates were awarded a certificate for their participation and contribution to 'Magic Basketball'. The 2012 graduates are Shaun Withers, Joel Gibbs, Cody Milnes, Callan Williams, Henry Wallis, Finlay Hobbs, Kelli Williams, Cathy Schultz, Jasmin Howe and Heidi Clark.

The evening concluded with a powerpoint presentation put together by Kylie Serle. The presentation showed a variety of photos of teams, players, coaches, spectators, referees, state representatives and humorous moments taken throughout the season.
