Insullation Project 2011

The foam insulation boards have been 'tech screwed' to the perlins above court 3. A scissor lift from 'Sharps Cranes' had to be used to reach the ceiling and large wooden boards were placed across the floor to protect the court surface.

The first of the insulation boards were installed on Thursday (21st July) evening with the remainder installed over the next three (very long houred) days. Over the three days many volunteers came to assist with the project and other jobs that needed to be done at the stadium. These included installing the boards, drilling for tech screws, cutting boards, painting, mending seats, errecting signs and picture frames, gardening, cleaning windows and general clean up. A huge thank you goes to all those who volunteered their time and expertise.

Insulation of court 1 and 2 and the surrounds of court 3 will be done at a later date in the next phases of the project.

Make sure when you enter the stadium next you look up to admire the hard work.
