Bevo International Coaching Shooting Centre at UWA

Due to overwhelming interest, Rob Beveridge's company Bevo International Coaching will be opening up another Shooting Centre at the University of WA on a Monday afternoon from 4.30pm – 5.15pm.

As most of you would be aware, shooting the ball is one of the most

important parts of the game of basketball and over the many years of being

involved in Coaching at all levels, in recent times I have seen a MAJOR

decrease in shooting ability at all levels.  In particular, I know from

first hand experience with the Wildcats that that was our achilles heel and

perhaps ultimately (besides injury) that shooting has cost us winning

Championships.

I have done extensive research and have discovered that Australia (at

Olympics and World Championships) continues to be ranked in shooting in the

bottom half of shooting percentages.

When I look at the WA teams at Nationals and the better National Junior players coming

through I don't see much improvement occurring unless something is done about it right now!!

The sessions that we will conduct are all about SHOOTING TECHNIQUE,

FOOTWORK FOR SHOOTING AND REPETITION. The sessions are not about individual

skill development (more on that at another time) and is about teaching our

kids the proper technique of shooting before it is too late to change.

For Quality control there will be limited numbers per shooting Centre (max. 36 players per session)

There will also be quality coaches in attendance to assist with the sessions.

All players will be provided with specific Shooting Charts that will change over time

and all players will have access to Video analysis in the sessions.  All

players (and parents) will receive ongoing feedback on their progress and

players will sessions will become more individualised as they become more

Proficient.
