Hawks Under 14-1 Girls Win WABL Grand Final
Our U14-1 WABL girls touring team completed a great season with a win in their WABL grand final yesterday over the Willetton Tigers. The girls won convincingly with an 85 -49 result.
The girls went through the regular season with a 15-1 win/loss ratio and capped it off with a win in week 1 of the finals, enabling them a rest in week 2 and then yesterday they had to play their semi final at 9 am and the grand final at 3.30 pm.
Under the guidance of coach Jasmine Luck and her assistant Stuart Luck, the team has been a stand-out over the past 3 seasons. They earnt the right to compete in the 2014 U 14 Club Nationals taking place in Brisbane next week with the girls heading to Brisbane on Saturday.
We congratulate the coaching staff, manager Rachel Ashby and all the girls on this result and we look forward to following their progress at the Club Nationals.
