Past Players Team Up for Showdown
Perry Lakes Hawks past SBL payers took to the boards on Saturday 20th June, 2009 as part of the Past Players Night entertainment. Two teams put on the old SBL blue and white jerseys and played off in the match titled "Been" vs "Gone". Over two decades of SBL talent - names like Mayger, Gardiner, Miller, Barrow, Sinfield, Watts, Coleman, Curwood, Murphy & Dunlap were on display, and after a valiant effort the win went to team "Gone" (white). The match announcer was Glenn Ellis and reffing duties were handled by Paul Pinker & Michael Costello. Thanks to all concerned for the entertainment and for putting on a great game, complete with all the old moves.
