Hawks Welcome Back Peter Crawford And Signal Arrival Of Danny Hawkins

Perry Lakes Hawks will welcome Wildcat PC back to their home court for the ANZAC day clash with the Kalamunda Suns.  PC will add obvious experience and poise to the young Hawk lineup.  Youngsters Dixon, Vahala and Harloe will benefit from the presence of PC on court and he will complement the ever-reliable Joe Allan Tupea.  The big men Tom Garlepp and Ben Purser will also benefit from a steady stream of passes being threaded to them in the paint from this quintet.  In the absence of Marcus Bardill, who is missing the game due to his marriage on the 24th April ( what is wrong with the man?), the bench big men such as Pekin and Josh Garlepp may well see some extra time.

The Suns come with a very experienced team and have acquitted themselves very well in the last couple of weeks, having had a very close loss to Geraldton and having dethroned Cockburn over the last two weeks.  Mastrovich, Bruton and Easley are threats and if Nixon plays then the game will be very close.

This game will be well worth watching so come down on Saturday night.

In another recent development the Hawks US import Danny Hawkins has arrived in Perth from Missouri.  Danny is fresh from the NAIA Division I playoffs where his team was unfortunately beaten in the semi-finals of the National tournament.  Danny is a 4/5 player who scores heavily inside and rebounds well.  He will fit into the Hawks team perfectly and add the last cog in an already successful wheel for the Hawks.  We await his paperwork to be delivered but should see him in action next week.
