Perry Lakes Lady Hawks Win WSBL Championship
The Perry Lakes Hawks have triumphed in the 2008 season with a defining win over Willetton Tigers to take out the WSBL Championship, 87 to 69. The Lady Hawks, coached by Rick Morcom and assistant Ian Wardrope, are back to back champions in 2007 and 2008.
In twenty years of State Basketball League history the Lady Hawks have produced a proud and dominant record with nine grand final appearances and six championships.
Deanna Smith was on fire, starting the game with a three pointer, and finishing with 39 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists, to take out the Grand Final MVP.
