Welcome back Bryton Hobbs

The Perry Lakes Hawks are excited to announce the re-signing of Bryton Hobbs for the 2016 Men’s SBL Season. After a great breakout season for the Hawks in 2015, Hobbs was named an SBL All Star in his first season at the point, a position with some talented competition. Within the league he was quickly identified as a standout competitor who brings an exciting and energetic brand of ball to the league.

“I feel good about being back and glad to be back in this great environment and I am really ready to play great ball again” said a strong looking and upbeat Hobbs on his arrival and when asked about his goals for in 2016, the player who prefers to quietly get on with his job simply stated, “Nothing short of an SBL League Championship”.

After a great 2015 season, Hobbs was always a required player for the 2016 season and for Charles Nix, Hawks Men’s SBL Head Coach, his re-signing was a priority. “We are all really excited about Bryton being back, he finished the season really strongly last year and we feel that by Bryton returning, it only improves the Hawks prospects for this year. He will be more comfortable working within the SBL environment and it is great that the chemistry within the team is already there”

Hawks captain Ben Purser echoed the sentiment of Coach Nix: “Bryton is such a great competitor – he loves the game and sets an excellent example for the squad. It will be a big positive having Bryton back for another year as we look to build on what we accomplished last season”.

St Louis based Hobbs returned to the US for the post season to spend times with family and was keen to return to Perth as quickly as possible to commence pre-season training with the Hawks Men’s SBL squad and looks set to again make an impact in 2016.
