State Champs Tryout Registrations now OPEN
In 2015 Perry Lakes Hawks will be holding weekly skills development sessions as part of the preparation for the State Championships Carnivals which will be held over these weekends:
28, 29 November: U11 and U13 BOYS (Years of birth 2005/2006 & 2003/2004))
5, 6 December: U15 GIRLS and U17 (Years of birth 1999,2000,2001 & 2002)
12, 13 December: U13 GIRLS, U15 BOYS, and U19 (Years of birth 1997,1998,2001,2002,2003,2004)
Players must be under an age at the 31st December 2015
We aim to include as many young players as possible and so will be forming teams at the end of the third week of tryouts. We reserve the right re-direct athletes to other development opportunities before the teams are selected if we believe that this would be more appropriate to their current skill level.
Thursday night sessions for the U15 and older age groups will be focused on skills development. Our emphasis is on providing an environment where our players can develop their basketball skills individually and in small groups away from the structured team environment. It also gives our players an opportunity to learn from all of our coaches and also to work with athletes from different age groups.
