Lady Hawk Natalie Burton Chosen for Opals Tour Team

Lady Hawks centre Natalie Burton has been named in the Australian National team to tour China later this month.

Burton joins the Opals team alongside Basketball veterans Belinda Snell and Jenni Screen after training with the squad under the new national coach Brendan Joyce last week at the Australian Institute of Sport.

The 194cm centre arrived back in Perth only to be told she will be leaving for China this weekend after impressing the coach at the Opals camp.

Burton, 24, made her WNBL debut last season for the West Coast Waves averaging 8.1 points and 5.4 rebounds per game during the 2012/13 season.

The Opals are preparing for the FIBA Women’s World Championships in Turkey starting in September.
