Ryan ‘Sully’ O’Sullivan – Hawks Player Profile

Sully is a player who plays well above his height and uses his strength and physicality to be a threat to players of all sizes. Head Coach Shawn Dennis has been impressed by Sully’s improvement during the season to date and how he has become such an important part of the teams’ rotation.

Why basketball? The combination between competitiveness, and the mental and physical side of the game.

How many years have you been playing? Since I was 15, so 7 years.

How have you found the season so far? For me this has been my favourite year of basketball to date. I've learnt so much from SD in such a short period of time, along with players like AJ and purser. To have the start like we have is a credit to all the boys for buying in to the systems put forward.

Favourite players/inspirational people: Kevin Garnett, Magic Johnson, Muhammed Ali. Their competitiveness sets them apart from others.

Favourite moments playing: This season as a whole has been amazing for me. Learning so much from SD and hanging out with the group we have, it's been a highlight for sure.

3 things you're good at other than basketball: Rugby, eating and probably dancing.
