Week two saw mixed results for the Hawks. After missing out on a win in the first week of games, the Lady Hawks found the going tough against reigning champions the Southwest Slammers. It was a game allowing them to take away many lessons and will no doubt assist them in their preparation and determination to get their first win this weekend. As their shooting and turnover rate improves, the Lady Hawks will show that they can compete with any team in the league. In the end it was a very encouraging display against a championship quality team. Well done to the Lady Hawks.

The men continued on their winning streak, making it three wins from as many starts. While being thrown a bit of scare in the first half, the team settled and were able to run away as comfortable winners. Whatever Coach Dennis said at half time needs to be bottled because it was a different team that returned to the floor and showed they can certainly challenge for a top four position this year.
 
This week sees Team Hawks head down to Rockingham for what will be a terrific chance to come away with two wins. Expect the Lady Hawks to learn from last week and put in an improved performance on both ends of the floor. Expect the men’s team to continue their improvement on an already positive start to the season.
