Perry Lakes Hawks WABL teams claimed four championships to conclude a very successful 2012 WABL season.

Of the 8 teams who made it to the last week of the WABL season, four came up trumps.

The day started with our M12, M13 & M14 in the first time slot - all three teams fought hard but all came up short as the final buzzer sounded - with the M14 going down by 1 on the buzzer. With these results, it's looking good for the future of the Club.

Our W15 had a convincing 74 to 48 win over Willetton and were backed up by our W18s who also triumphed over Willetton 50-43. The W18 was a particularly good win and as coach Glenn Dawson said in his summing up of the season: " It was always a struggle having the full team at training due to 3 of the girls also having SBL contracts and backing up their 18's by playing D-League and coming off the bench in SBL throughout the season."

It was the men's turn to take out a championship- our M18-2 rallied against a strong Rockingham team and crowd, to win in overtime - 77 to 75. Well done to first year coach Grady Horler.

In the final timeslot our WDL played a tough game against arch rivals the Perth Redbacks. Although they fell short on the day, there was plenty to take from this game.

The M20s, coached by experienced long time coach Mal Keene, cruised to a 92-55 win over Eastern Suns to notch up the Club's 4th championship for the day.
