International debut for young Hawks WABL players
A combined Hawks Team consisting of players from the girls under 14s, 15s,16s & 18's, played a visiting Indonesian 16s girls team at the Basketball Centre on Wednesday the 12th October.
Coached by Craig CLAPWORTHY and superbly managed by Mike HOLMES, as expected the Hawks Team had a considerable height advantage however the girls soon realised the oppositions pace, skill and fitness would soon quickly account for any height advantage.
Scores were level at half time with most of the Hawks girls starting to question their fitness levels due to little or no exercise since the WABL finals. Down by 12 points at three quarter time in typical Hawks style they fought out the game going down by 4 points.
