Charity Basketball Match

Charity Basketball Match

My name is Ruben Proud and I attend Scotch College (Year 10). I am organising a Charity Basketball Match, fundraising for the David Wirrpanda Foundation. The Foundation aims to improve the lives of Aboriginal youth across Western Australia. The foundation is well known and highly respected. It has changed the lives of over 50,000 aboriginal youths to date and the number is growing. The DWF is a great charity and it needs our support to continue its great work.

The Charity Basketball Match will feature the seven PSA (Private Schools Association) schools, divided into EAST and WEST, with two senior players from each school. This format is a novel and original concept in Australia.

WEST

Scotch - Christchurch – Hale

SOUTH

Wesley -Trinity - Hale - Aquinas

The charity basketball match involves the seven boys schools in the Private Schools Association (PSA) with the two best players chosen to represent their school in combined Eastern and Western teams. In the American style, there will be an Eastern Conference (schools from the East of the city) and the Western Conference (schools from the West of the city) who will battle it out for supremacy. The match will be full of skill and ability showcasing some of the best school basketballers in the state. This is the first time private boys’ schools are coming together in a collaborative rather than combative manner (ala Head of the River) with the goal of raising money for charity.

COST

$10.00
