Hawks WSBL vs Wanneroo in Semi Final Game 1 at Wanneroo Saturday, 7th August

The State Basketball League moves into Semi Final mode this weekend. Unfortunately the Hawks Men bowed out of contention with a second loss against Geraldton last Saturday night, but the LadyHawks are fired up to take on seventh placed Wanneroo Wolves tonight at Wanneroo. Top seeded Willetton tigers will take on fourth Perth Redbacks. Last weekend Wanneroo pushed 2nd placed Rockingham out of the finals and the Hawks took Game 2 against Mandurah 68-62 to advance. Captain Tanya Kelly received the Arimia Game MVP award and Tegan Walker, who has jst celebrated her 250th game ably assisted in the win with 17 points.

In the Men’s competition the four remaining teams are Lakeside (first) vs Perth Redbacks (fourth) and second placed Willetton Tigers will take on Geraldton Buccaneers (third).

LadyHawks tip off at 7:30pm this evening at Wanneroo in game 1 of the semis. Come along to support the Hawks – Joondalup Stadium, cnr Wise St & Collier Pass, Joondalup.
